The retrofittable rear cover reliably protects the entire rear of the tractor from dirt and chopped material.
The DirtGuard securely shields all sensitive components such as hydraulic couplings, the top link and electrical connections. This keeps your equipment cleaner and functional for longer – even under the toughest working conditions.
Designed for the Fendt 300 Vario Gen5, 500 Vario Gen4, 700 Vario Gen7, 800 Vario Gen5, 900 Vario Gen6, 1000 Vario Gen3.
PRODUCT OVERVIEW
What is the DirtGuard?
The DirtGuard is a robust, precisely fitting rear cover that is attached directly to the tractor and reliably covers the entire rear. The flexible cover is guided over two piping strips supplied on the side of the mudguard, ensuring that it remains securely in position even when there is a lot of dirt.
The Dirt Guard can be fitted to the following Fendt models:
300 Vario Gen5, 500 Vario Gen4, 700 Vario Gen7, 800 Vario Gen5, 900 Vario Gen6, 1000 Vario Gen3
Scope of delivery
The DirtGuard Kit contains the following parts:
- 1x tarpaulin
- 2x piping strips
- 6x screws (short)
- 6x screws (long)
- 6x washers and nuts
QUICK GUIDE INSTALLATION
Preparation
1st Step
Park the tractor on level ground.
Switch off the ignition, remove the folding wedges and, if necessary, the holder for lower link balls.
Clean the surface
2nd Step
Clean the mudguard surface.
Mark the drill holes
3rd Step
Hold the piping strips against the mudguards in the installation position and mark the 3 drill holes on each side.
Drill the holes
4th Step
Drill 3 holes with a diameter of 6.5 mm at the marked points on both mudguards.
Mount the piping strips
5th Step
Fasten the piping strips using the screws, washers and nuts supplied.
The kit contains two lengths of screws. Only use the longer screws if the short ones are too short.
Insert the tarpaulin
6th step
Insert the DirtGuard tarpaulin into both piping strips at the sides and align the tarpaulin completely.
Secure the DirtGuard
7th step
Open the rear window. Insert the square recess over the rear window lock.
ATTENTION:
The DirtGuard can only be securely fastened when the rear window is locked. When closing the rear window, always ensure that the DirtGuard is correctly positioned.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
GENERAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Please read these safety instructions carefully and in their entirety. Observe all instructions and warnings before installing or operating the DirtGuard.
1. General Safety Precautions
- Before installation and commissioning, read the complete installation and operating instructions carefully.
- All installation work must be carried out strictly in accordance with the instructions and using only the supplied original components.
- The DirtGuard may only be used on suitable agricultural machinery.
- Improper installation or use may result in material damage and pose safety risks.
2. Safety during installation
- During installation, the tractor must be completely stationary.
- Switch off the engine, remove the ignition key, and secure the tractor against rolling.
- Always wear safety goggles and suitable protective gloves when drilling into fenders or body parts.
- Ensure that no persons are present within the hazard area during installation.
- Avoid sparks or metal shavings near electrical components or hydraulic lines.
- Before drilling, carefully check that there are no pipes, cables, hoses, or load-bearing structures behind the drilling point.
3. Safety during operation
- The DirtGuard may restrict rear visibility. Adjust your driving behavior accordingly.
- The DirtGuard must not obstruct any lighting equipment, warning lights, license plates, cameras, or sensors.
- Ensure that the tarp is correctly tensioned and securely fastened at all times.
- The tarp must not become loose, flap excessively, or get caught in moving parts.
- Do not use the DirtGuard if it is damaged, torn, or loosely mounted.
- Before each journey, check that the tarp is securely seated in the keder rails.
4. Road Traffic Warnings
- The DirtGuard must not extend beyond the permitted vehicle dimensions.
- Visibility via exterior mirrors and the surrounding area must not be impaired.
- Always comply with applicable road traffic regulations.
5. Maintenance & care
- Regularly check that all bolts, nuts, and fastening elements are securely tightened.
- Clean the tarp only with mild cleaning agents.
- Do not use aggressive or solvent-based chemicals.
- Damaged or worn components must be replaced immediately.
- Use only original spare parts. Alternative or self-made components are not permitted.
6. Procedure in Case of Problems or Irregularities
- If you are unsure or notice any irregularities, remove the DirtGuard immediately and stop operation.
- In case of installation issues, malfunctions, or damage, please contact your dealer or the Fendt/AGCO customer service.
- Do not continue operating the machine if the tarp comes loose during operation, flaps excessively, or could become entangled in moving parts.
AUTHORIZED USE
The DirtGuard is designed exclusively for use in standard agricultural applications or for similar purposes. Any other type of use is considered unauthorized. The manufacturer will not be liable for any damage resulting from such use, which will be entirely at the owner's risk.
Authorized use also includes observing the operating, maintenance and repair conditions set out by the manufacturer in order to protect your claims under warranty if necessary.
Special attention must be paid to safety symbols and the words DANGER, WARNING and CAUTION.
Operation, maintenance and repair of the DirtGuard may only be carried out by people who are familiar with this equipment and aware of the associated dangers.
The relevant accident prevention regulations must be observed, as must as any generally acknowledged safety, industrial medicine and traffic regulations. The manufacturer does not accept liability for damage resulting from unauthorized modifications to the machine.
As it is working equipment, children and young people should not be taken on board or transported on the vehicle. However, if children or young people are in the vehicle, the operator must be aware that they require strict supervision. Children and young people on board must not be allowed to operate the technical controls of the vehicle or implements mounted on it. Under no circumstances may children or young people remain alone in the cab when the operator leaves the vehicle.
